Support Officer – Mechanical Engineering (UAE Nationals)

About the role

The Support Officer – Mechanical Engineering provides hands‑on experience for UAE nationals in daily mechanical maintenance and technical operations. Working under senior engineers, you will help keep HVAC, pumps, motors and other mechanical assets running safely and efficiently while building a solid foundation for a long‑term engineering career.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver first‑level technical support for mechanical systems and related infrastructure.
• Assist with inspection, testing and preventive maintenance of HVAC, pumps, motors, compressors, generators, piping and other installations.
• Support troubleshooting of faults, report abnormalities and coordinate corrective actions.
• Monitor system performance, log incidents such as vibrations, leaks or safety concerns.
• Help with installation, commissioning and basic setup of mechanical equipment.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment logs and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors and service providers when required.
• Assist in preparing technical reports, work permits, risk assessments and other documentation.

Required profile

• UAE National.
• High school diploma; a diploma or bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
• 0–2 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, engineering support or technical operations (fresh graduates welcome).
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.

Required skills

• Basic understanding of HVAC systems, pumps, motors, compressors, generators and piping.
• Ability to read simple mechanical drawings and technical diagrams.
• Fundamental troubleshooting and analytical abilities.
• Familiarity with mechanical testing tools and instruments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office for reporting and documentation.
