Teaching Assistant – Nursery

About the role

The Emirates British Nursery in Mirdif, Dubai is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support the early‑learning environment. You will work closely with the lead teacher to ensure each child receives attentive care, encouragement and a safe setting for development.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise children’s physical, emotional and intellectual needs throughout the day.
• Assist the teacher in preparing and delivering age‑appropriate activities.
• Support children during meals, toileting and other basic care routines.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of playrooms and equipment.
• Promote positive behaviour management and confidentiality.
• Help new staff integrate and act as a role model.
• Participate in staff meetings, open‑house events and outings.

Required profile

• Ability to organise daily tasks independently.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Discreet, sensitive and respectful attitude.
• Knowledge of nursery policies and procedures.
• Empathetic approach with a warm, positive demeanor toward children.
• Consistent implementation of behaviour management strategies.
