About the role
Emirates Engineering is seeking a Technical Services Engineer I to support the Airframe/Mechanical Systems team. You will manage fleet technical and continuing airworthiness activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards while enhancing reliability and cost efficiency.
Key responsibilities
- Provide fleet technical management and continuing airworthiness support for airframe mechanical systems.
- Evaluate manufacturers' and regulatory technical documents, updating internal Engineering Orders and Special Engineering Workcards.
- Analyse in‑service data (tech logs, pilot reports, defects) and implement actions to improve reliability and maintainability.
- Deliver technical assistance during disruption scenarios, including AOG handling, troubleshooting, and management of chronic or deferred defects.
- Develop standard operating procedures, in‑house repairs, and deviations under Part 21 Design Organisation privileges.
- Support acquisition of new aircraft and end‑of‑lease activities.
- Act as technical liaison with aircraft, engine, and component manufacturers and internal stakeholders.
Required profile
- Degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Understanding of continuing airworthiness regulations and fleet technical management.
- Ability to interpret technical documentation and translate it into actionable engineering changes.
- Strong analytical skills for data‑driven reliability improvement.
Required skills
- Airframe mechanical systems knowledge (flight controls, landing gear, air‑conditioning).
- Continuing airworthiness management.
- Engineering Order and Special Engineering Workcard administration.
- Aircraft maintenance program optimisation.
- AOG handling and troubleshooting.
