2D & 3D Draftsman / CAD Designer - Aluminium, Cladding & Façade

About the role

Emesh Metal Manufacturing LLC is hiring a 2D & 3D Draftsman / CAD Designer in Dubai for aluminium, metal cladding, façade and structural shop drawings. The role suits a technically strong draftsman who can independently understand drawings, develop accurate details and prepare complete shop drawing packages under fast project timelines. Immediate hiring is offered to candidates available in the UAE.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate 2D shop drawings, fabrication drawings, structural drawings and 3D models for aluminium, steel, mild steel, façade and metal cladding works.
• Develop complete shop drawing packages including plans, elevations, sections, enlarged details, fixing details, bracket details, connection details and assembly drawings.
• Interpret architectural, structural, consultant and IFC drawings and convert them into clear technical drawings for production and installation.
• Prepare drawings for aluminium panels, expanded metal mesh, cladding, architectural features, steel subframes, brackets and supports.
• Assist with structural calculation inputs, material take-offs, quantities, panel schedules, cutting lists and fabrication documentation.
• Revise drawings quickly according to consultant comments, site conditions and project requirements.
• Coordinate with design, estimation, production, project and site teams, conduct site visits when needed and ensure drawings meet UAE construction standards.
• Maintain drawing records, revision logs and file naming.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering, Architecture, Technical Drafting or a related field.
• 3-5 years of proven experience in shop drawings, façade drawings, aluminium works, cladding, metal fabrication or structural drafting.
• Ability to work independently and produce clean, accurate, professional drawings.
• Good English communication skills.
• Candidates must show actual drafting capability; shortlisted applicants may be asked for a practical AutoCAD test or a portfolio of shop drawings and fabrication details.

Required skills

• Advanced AutoCAD is mandatory.
• Strong understanding of façade systems, aluminium works, cladding, steel supports, brackets and fixing details.
• Knowledge of materials such as aluminium, mild steel, galvanised steel, stainless steel, ACP and expanded metal mesh.
• Advantage: Rhino, Revit, SketchUp or Grasshopper.
