Account Manager Journals & eBooks (West Africa)

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and results‑driven Account Manager to lead the growth of our Journals and eBooks business in West Africa. The role focuses on expanding institutional sales, managing key accounts and strengthening high‑value relationships with consortiums.

Key responsibilities

• Cultivate strong relationships with university libraries, research institutions and government bodies, acting as a trusted advisor on Open Access, digital learning and research dissemination.
• Achieve at least 20% year‑on‑year revenue growth by identifying new opportunities, upselling existing clients and implementing strategic pricing, bundling and subscription models.
• Identify and engage potential consortium partners, universities and professional bodies to drive adoption of Taylor & Francis digital resources across West Africa.
• Collaborate with internal marketing, editorial and customer‑service teams, track account performance and provide regular forecasts to leadership.

Required profile

• 5+ years of B2B account management or institutional publishing sales experience.
• Proven track record of revenue growth and managing high‑value accounts, especially consortiums.
• Ability to travel across West African countries and, when required, other African regions.
• Knowledge of Open Access, Read & Publish models and digital content licensing is a strong advantage.
