Accountant – Accounts Receivable (A/R)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accountant specialized in Accounts Receivable to join our Finance Operations team at our Abu Dhabi headquarters. The role involves applying accounting principles, supporting financial reporting, and ensuring accurate and timely A/R activities in line with controls and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in month‑end closing activities.
• Generate and distribute customer invoices with supporting documentation.
• Record incoming payments and apply them to the correct accounts.
• Prepare bank deposits and maintain payment records.
• Post accounting entries related to A/R and general ledger.
• Maintain and review inter‑company transactions and ageing reports.
• Perform customer reconciliations and review statements.
• Match A/R ledgers with the General Ledger to ensure accuracy.
• Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Support audit activities and supervise assistant accountants.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in an A/R role.
• Professional accounting qualification or ongoing certification is preferred.
• Strong communication skills in English; Arabic knowledge is a plus.
• Detail‑oriented, organized and able to work across departments.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Knowledge of Oracle Financials.
