Accountant – Construction & Engineering Finance

About the role

A leading glass & aluminum and façade contracting company in Dubai is seeking an experienced Accountant to strengthen its finance team. The role focuses on daily accounting operations, VAT compliance, and financial reporting within the construction and engineering sector.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting activities and financial operations.
• Maintain accurate books of accounts and financial records.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Prepare invoices, receipts, vouchers, and payment documents.
• Perform bank reconciliations and ledger balancing.
• Monitor cash flow and financial transactions.
• Prepare periodic financial reports and statements.
• Handle VAT accounting, filing, and compliance requirements.
• Coordinate with auditors, banks, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
• Assist management with financial analysis and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting policies and financial regulations.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of accounting experience in the UAE.
• Prior experience in construction, contracting, engineering, glass & aluminum, or façade companies preferred.
• Strong understanding of UAE VAT regulations and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Current residence in the UAE is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Experience with accounting software.
• Knowledge of UAE VAT compliance.
