Accountant – F&B / Hospitality

About the role

A company in Abu Dhabi is looking for an experienced Accountant with a strong background in food and beverage and hospitality operations. The role covers financial transactions, VAT compliance, inventory management, reconciliations and financial reporting. Only applicants with relevant F&B or hospitality accounting experience will be considered, and immediate joiners are required.

Key responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Handle UAE VAT filing and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
• Perform bank and supplier reconciliations.
• Monitor stock levels, maintain inventory records and carry out inventory reconciliations.
• Track food costs, wastage and operational variances to support cost control.
• Perform inventory valuation and maintain accurate financial records.
• Support month-end closing and prepare financial reports.
• Maintain accounting documentation and ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field preferred.
• Previous accounting experience in restaurants, cafés, hotels, bars or other F&B and hospitality operations is mandatory.
• UAE accounting experience preferred.
• Immediate availability to join.

Required skills

• Good proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable and receivable, UAE VAT filing, bank and supplier reconciliations, inventory valuation and financial reporting.
• Understanding of food cost calculations, wastage monitoring and variance analysis.
• Attention to detail, analytical thinking and organisation in a fast-paced environment.
