Accountant

About the role

Al Tayer Motors is looking for an Accountant in Dubai to support accounting activities and ensure control and compliance of procedures and the schedule of authority, so that the company's financial health is accurately reflected.

Key responsibilities

• Reconcile accounts and statements between the general ledger, external parties and sub-ledgers
• Prepare management information reports, including monthly balance sheets and profit and loss accounts
• Assist internal and external auditors, implement recommendations and take corrective action where needed
• Carry out periodic cash audits and cash till reconciliations, and prepare cash movement reports
• Ensure payments follow the schedule of authority and financial policies
• Analyse, reconcile and follow up debtor accounts to ensure adherence to credit policy and SOA
• Handle NCR accounts for sorting and dispatch of invoices
• Compile operating expense data and include it in sales and margin figures used for budget projections
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting
• Count fixed assets and trading inventory periodically to ensure availability, usability and fair valuation
• Account for service contracts, Salik and traffic fines

Required profile

• B.Com graduate
• 3 to 5 years of experience in a medium-sized group
