Accounting Clerk – General Cashier Paymaster

About the role

The Accounting Clerk – General Cashier Paymaster ensures accurate financial entries, safeguards cash and cash equivalents, and prepares a variety of financial and payroll reports in line with company policies. This role supports period‑end closing activities and assists with billing and invoicing processes.

Key responsibilities

• Check figures, postings and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy and proper coding.
• Organise, secure and maintain files, records, cash and cash equivalents according to policies.
• Record, store and analyse computerized financial information and maintain electronic spreadsheets.
• Classify, code and summarise numerical data using journals, ledgers or accounting software.
• Prepare, maintain and distribute statistical, financial, accounting, auditing or payroll reports.
• Complete period‑end closing procedures and issue bills, invoices and account statements as required.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least one year of related accounting or cash handling experience.

Required skills

• Spreadsheet management (e.g., Excel).
• Proficiency with accounting software or computerized financial systems.
