Accounting Manager - Tokenized Equities

About the role

Coinbase is hiring an Accounting Manager to be the finance lead for its Tokenized Equities product, which lets eligible non-US users buy tokens backed 1:1 by US stocks and ETFs, issued from Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) and trading 24/7 onchain. This is a senior individual contributor role: you will own the accounting and reporting model from the ground up, coordinating with Tax, Treasury, FP&A, controllership, external auditors and regulators.

Key responsibilities

• Build the accounting model from scratch, covering token issuance and redemption, asset tracking, intercompany flows and the close process
• Own regulatory compliance and reporting to the FSRA, including liaison with the regulator, a robust reporting process and ad hoc queries
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Legal, Tax, Compliance, Treasury, FP&A and Finance Data so new flows are accurate, controlled and scalable
• Sign off on flow of funds, posting rules, account setup, ledger structure, reconciliations and reporting before launch
• Lead accounting analysis for new structures under US GAAP and IFRS, including dividends, splits and balance sheet treatment
• Build the reporting framework for the issuer entity, including annual audited IFRS financials, local filings and audit support
• Set up a control environment with audit trails, books and records and data integrity across on-chain and off-chain systems
• Identify accounting, controls and reporting risks early and assign owners and plans

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; CPA, CA or similar strongly preferred
• Strong accounting or finance experience in a regulated setting (capital markets, broker-dealer, exchange, custody, clearing or digital assets)
• Experience working directly with a financial regulator (inquiries, exams or filings)
• Proven ability to apply accounting rules to new or complex products and to build new finance processes
• Clear communication skills and comfort in ambiguous, fast-moving environments

Required skills

• Familiarity with the FSRA and its regulatory framework
• Ability to responsibly use generative AI tools and copilots in daily work, with human-in-the-loop practices

The target annual base salary ranges from 503,500 to 530,000 AED, excluding equity and bonus. The company is remote-first but expects quarterly in-person working sessions.
