Acoustic Hardware Engineer / Electroacoustic Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an Acoustic Hardware Engineer / Electroacoustic Specialist to design, develop, test and optimise audio hardware and electroacoustic systems. The role works remotely and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high‑performing audio products.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop electroacoustic hardware such as speakers, microphones, transducers, amplifiers and related components.
• Conduct acoustic measurements, characterisation and performance analysis (frequency response, sensitivity, distortion, impedance, SPL, noise, resonance).
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, DSP, firmware and industrial design teams on hardware integration, equalisation, filtering and noise reduction.
• Develop test procedures, specifications and engineering documentation, and troubleshoot system‑level issues.
• Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers on component quality, tolerances and production readiness.
• Research emerging acoustic technologies, materials and transducer techniques.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional experience in acoustic engineering, electroacoustics or audio hardware.
• Strong understanding of acoustic principles, electroacoustic transducers and audio measurement.
• Experience with loudspeakers, microphones, amplifiers, acoustic enclosures or related audio systems.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment and communicate effectively in English.
