Adjunct Faculty – Media Production & Storytelling

About the role

Zayed University’s College of Communication and Media Sciences is seeking dynamic adjunct faculty to teach Media Production & Storytelling courses on its Abu Dhabi campus starting Spring 2027. The position is at the rank of Instructor, Assistant Professor or Associate Professor and focuses on creative content development, visual and digital storytelling, and media production across traditional, digital and emerging platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate courses in Media Production & Storytelling, covering core skills in creative content development, visual and digital storytelling, and multimedia production.
• Maintain academic standards that meet international benchmarks and contribute to scholarly or creative activities in the field.
• Engage with students in both English and Arabic, fostering critical thinking, innovation, and ethical communication practices.

Required profile

• Hold an MA or PhD in Communication, Journalism, Media Sciences or a related field; MFA with a specialization in Film, Video Production, Digital/New Media is also acceptable.
• Demonstrated record of teaching experience that meets international standards and/or substantial professional expertise in media production.
• Bilingual fluency in Arabic and English, residency within the UAE and a valid UAE work visa.

• Strong teaching and curriculum delivery abilities in a bilingual (Arabic/English) environment.
• Professional expertise in media production, visual storytelling, and digital content creation.
