Air Conditioning Technician – Hotel Maintenance

About the role

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Air Conditioning Technician to join our maintenance team at Rose Rayhaan by Rotana, Dubai. You will be responsible for installing, servicing, and repairing temperature and air‑quality control systems throughout the hotel, ensuring guest comfort and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Repair, maintain and provide technical attention to all electrical and mechanical refrigeration systems, including freezers, fridges, ice makers, fan coil units, and chillers.
• Perform preventive maintenance on all air‑conditioning and refrigeration equipment.
• Check performance of refrigeration components and verify door‑closing mechanisms on walk‑in coolers.
• Maintain defrosting systems and automate ice‑maker operations.
• Respond to maintenance requests from all hotel departments.
• Clean fan coil units and air‑handling unit filters regularly.
• Monitor air‑conditioning and chilled‑water system performance.
• Collaborate with engineering colleagues to diagnose failures and set up system functions.
• Control venting of CFCs and oversee overhauls of refrigeration equipment.
• Check refrigeration oil levels, manage major repairs, and coordinate parts purchases with the storekeeper.
• Ensure all work complies with local technical regulations and safety standards.

Required profile

• Diploma in refrigeration maintenance or building services engineering.
• Proven experience in operating and maintaining hotel‑grade HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
• Strong command of English.
• Ability to identify faults and rectify subsystems efficiently.
• Self‑motivated, hands‑on, adaptable, and able to stay calm under pressure.
• Attention to detail and a proactive, reliable work ethic.
