Airbus Fleet Engineer – Structures

About the role

The Airbus Fleet Engineer – Structures will join the Airbus Technical Fleet Management team at Etihad Airways. Reporting to the Airbus Technical Fleet Manager, the role ensures compliance with CAR‑AIR OPS, CAR‑M and CAR‑145 regulations, supporting the continued airworthiness and safety of Etihad’s Airbus fleet.

Key responsibilities

• Review and assess all Airbus Airworthiness Directives and mandatory Service Bulletins for the fleet, ensuring timely compliance.
• Coordinate with OEMs, MROs and internal departments to improve fleet reliability, on‑time performance and cost efficiency.
• Develop business cases for modifications and present them to the Modification Review Committee.
• Compile Engineering Orders, Special Checks and Additional Engineering Requirements for reliability and safety assessments.
• Support technical projects such as EIS, lease end activities and modification programmes.
• Monitor TFU/FAIR reviews and issue related advisories.
• Promote a positive safety reporting culture by reporting unsafe acts or conditions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical or Electrical/Electronics Engineering meeting chartered engineer eligibility.
• Minimum 3 years CAMO experience as a Fleet Engineer or 5 years in technical commercial aviation/airline engineering.
• Aircraft B1/B2 type training on A320, A350 or A380 fleets.
• Strong understanding of airworthiness regulations and fleet management processes.

• Experience with AMOS MIS
