Alternative Pathway (SEND) Teacher – January 2027

About the role

GEMS World Academy-Dubai, a private IB World School for PreK to Grade 12, is looking for an Alternative Pathway (SEND) teacher to join its Inclusion department in January 2027. The Inclusion department is known for the care and personal support it offers students, and the school welcomes passionate practitioners whose values match its commitment to a love of learning.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Education degree, or an initial degree plus a relevant teaching qualification such as a PGCE, PGDE or equivalent specialism in Inclusion
• At least 3 years of experience teaching Inclusion, ideally in an IB curriculum school (not mandatory)
• Experience in teaching the IB Middle Years Programmes and Diploma Programmes is preferred, but teachers from any curriculum background are encouraged to apply
• Strong understanding of the IB framework and Approaches to Teaching preferred
• Alignment with the IB philosophy and the Learner Profile values
• Passion for working in a non-selective, culturally diverse community
• Available to start from January 2027
