Anatomy Professor / Associate Professor / Assistant Professor

About the role

Dubai Medical University is recruiting Anatomy faculty members at three levels: Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor. The position involves teaching, research and service within the university's curriculum.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses according to the university curriculum, preparing and updating teaching materials and delivering lectures, tutorials, practicals and clinical sessions.
• Supervise and assess student research, projects and examinations, and advise and mentor students.
• Incorporate innovative teaching methods, including technology and simulation where appropriate.
• Maintain an active research agenda aligned with university priorities, publish in Scopus-indexed journals, seek external funding and collaborate on research.
• Take part in departmental, college and university committees, curriculum development, accreditation and faculty development, and engage in community service and outreach.

Required profile

• Professor: Ph.D. or equivalent, at least 10 years of teaching and research experience after the terminal degree, strong publication record and academic leadership.
• Associate Professor: Ph.D. or equivalent, at least 5 years of teaching and research experience after the terminal degree, solid publication record.
• Assistant Professor: Ph.D. or equivalent, demonstrated potential in teaching, research and service; previous higher education or postdoctoral experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a multicultural environment, and familiarity with accreditation standards and quality assurance in higher education.
