About the role
The Royal Women Hospital Abu Dhabi is seeking an Approval Officer to manage and audit medical claims. The role ensures accurate billing, timely resubmission of rejected claims, and compliance with insurer price lists and provider manuals.
Key responsibilities
- Review and audit medical claims for accuracy.
- Resubmit rejected claims after obtaining necessary justification from doctors.
- Ensure billing follows agreed price lists and provider manuals.
- Update billing officers on rejections and drive corrective actions.
- Submit claims with correct codes and formats to insurance companies within stipulated deadlines.
Required profile
- Medical or paramedical graduate from a recognized university.
- Minimum 2 years experience in insurance claims management or adjudication.
- Preferable experience in medical coding.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
Required skills
- Medical Coding
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
