About the role

Aldar Education is seeking an outstanding Arabic and Islamic Teacher for Abdulla Bin Otaiba Charter School, an American‑curriculum mixed‑gender primary school located in Mohamed Bin Zayed City, Abu Dhabi. The role starts in the Academic Year 2026/27 and focuses on delivering high‑quality, inclusive learning experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Arabic and Islamic lessons that cater to the full ability range of the class.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers, curriculum support staff and parents to ensure consistent progress and well‑being of students.
• Assess and record student development using the Target Tracker system and use data to inform further planning and interventions.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policy, acting as a positive role model.
• Participate in curriculum action groups, school events, outings and extracurricular activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Arabic Education or Islamic Education, plus a PGCE or equivalent teacher qualification.
• Minimum 1–2 years of teaching experience in Arabic and Islamic subjects.
• Experience working with students for whom English is not the first language.
• Professionalism, commitment to child well‑being, and a clean DBS/police check.
• Residency in the same Emirate as the school.
