Asset & Maintenance Improvement Engineer

About the role

The Asset & Maintenance Improvement Engineer will support key engineering workstreams such as FRACAS, Obsolescence Management, Engineering Technical Investigations and Single Point of Failure analysis. The role focuses on improving asset performance and reliability for the Dubai Metro, both in the short and long term.

Key responsibilities

• Support the delivery and monitoring of Strategic and Annual Asset Management Plans, ensuring stakeholder alignment.
• Develop Asset Class Strategies and conduct RAMS analyses to optimise maintenance performance.
• Establish data requirements, improve MMS data quality and use BI tools to analyse fault trends.
• Identify and own Opportunities for Improvement (OFI) and support implementation of projects such as Non‑OEM Studies.
• Lead the FRACAS process, ETI tracking, failure trend analysis and root‑cause investigations.
• Liaise with internal teams, suppliers and contractors to ensure engineering frameworks and standards are applied.
• Execute engineering governance activities through the Engineering Master Tracker and Engineering Calendar.
• Provide guidance and coaching to maintenance teams on reliability processes and critical spares.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics or Mechanical).
• Experience in reliability engineering, failure investigation and root‑cause analysis.
• Familiarity with FRACAS, RAMS and rail system interfaces.
• Strong communication skills and fluency in English.
