Assistant Head of Girls Boarding House

About the role

The Assistant Head of House for the Girls Boarding House will support the Head of House in delivering a safe, nurturing and academically supportive environment for boarding students at the Swiss International Scientific School in Dubai.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the day‑to‑day management of the girls’ boarding residence, ensuring high standards of care, cleanliness and safety.
• Oversee pastoral care, wellbeing and safeguarding procedures for all boarders.
• Supervise and mentor boarding staff, coordinating schedules and training.
• Liaise with academic staff to support students’ study habits and extracurricular participation.
• Ensure compliance with UAE child protection regulations and Nord Anglia safeguarding policies.
• Participate in parent communication and boarding house events.

Required profile

• Proven experience in residential or boarding school settings, preferably in a leadership role.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection standards.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a multicultural student body.
• Leadership, organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
