Assistant Headteacher – Secondary

About the role

Safa Community School, an award‑winning all‑through UK curriculum school in Dubai, is seeking an experienced Secondary Assistant Headteacher to start in September 2027. The role will support the Deputy Headteacher in driving pastoral care, curriculum excellence and house‑based community building across the secondary phase.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage pastoral care, student well‑being and support systems.
• Strategically oversee a Key Stage and its curriculum delivery.
• Develop and run a vibrant house structure at the heart of school life.
• Collaborate with the Deputy Headteacher to monitor data and accelerate academic progress.

Required profile

• High‑quality degree and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience in middle leadership (essential) and senior leadership (desirable).
• Strong track record of improving pupil progress and a creative approach to teaching and learning.
• Ability to inspire, motivate and empower staff in a fast‑paced, multicultural environment.
• Willingness to contribute broadly to school life and pursue continuous professional development.
