Assistant Manager – AI‑Enabled Accounts Payable & Receivable

About the role

The Assistant Manager will lead end‑to‑end Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable operations, using AI‑enabled tools and automation to improve efficiency, cash‑flow visibility and risk management. The role supports finance transformation initiatives while ensuring compliance with UAE regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Drive adoption of AI and intelligent automation for AP/AR processes, including RPA and AI Copilot tools.
• Oversee invoice processing, payment approvals, bank reconciliations and timely payment execution.
• Monitor receivables ageing, lead collection activities and manage delinquent accounts.
• Develop and maintain AP/AR dashboards, KPI reports and executive‑level financial analysis.
• Utilise advanced Excel, Power BI, SQL and ERP systems to build automated reports and predictive models.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls, support audits and comply with UAE financial regulations.
• Identify and lead continuous‑improvement and automation projects across the finance function.
• Supervise and mentor AP/AR team members and collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; professional qualifications (ACCA, CPA, CMA, CIMA) preferred.
• 3‑5 years of progressive finance experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong AP/AR operational background, preferably in UAE healthcare insurance or related sectors.
• Demonstrated ability to manage high‑volume transactions and stakeholder relationships.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel (Power Query, Pivot Tables, Power Pivot).
• Power BI dashboard development.
• SQL data extraction and reporting.
• ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, Sage, Dynamics 365, etc.).
• Working knowledge of AI tools, Microsoft Copilot and finance automation platforms.
• Experience with RPA technologies such as UiPath, Power Automate or Automation Anywhere.
