Assistant Manager – Cyber Assurance & IT Audit

About the role

Join Grant Thornton's Business Risk Services team in Abu Dhabi as an Assistant Manager, leading cyber assurance, IT audit and technology risk engagements for public‑sector and large private‑sector clients across the UAE.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end IT audit and technology risk engagements, ensuring delivery aligns with Grant Thornton UAE methodologies and quality standards.
• Oversee evaluation of IT General Controls and ERP application controls (Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics), cloud environments and data‑protection requirements, including UAE data regulations and GDPR.
• Manage engagement teams: allocate tasks, coach staff, review workpapers and ensure technical quality.
• Present findings to clients and audit committees, prepare clear audit reports and monitor remediation actions.
• Lead third‑party risk management reviews, assessing vendor contracts for cybersecurity, data privacy and business continuity (ISO 22301, NCEMA).

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in technology risk, IT audit, ICFR, SOX or ERP assurance engagements.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Professional certifications such as CISA, CISM, CISSP, ISO 27001 (any two).
• Prior experience delivering ICFR/ITGC/SOX‑style controls within UAE or GCC organisations.

Required skills

• IT Audit, ICFR, SOX, ERP assurance (Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics).
• Knowledge of UAE data regulations, GDPR, ISO 22301, NCEMA.
• Experience with cloud environments and third‑party risk management.
• Stakeholder management with senior IT, finance and risk leaders.
