Assistant Operator - Finishing Machine

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Operator to set up and operate a range of finishing machines in our production facility. The role involves ensuring high‑quality output and maintaining equipment performance.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and operate finishing machines including Kolbus perfect binders, Muller Martini saddle stitchers, folding, sewing, Wholemberg gathering and cutting machines.
• Configure automatic die‑cutting, foiling, embossing, Brausee folder‑gluer and Champion bag‑fabrication machines according to job specifications and material type.
• Monitor output for binding strength, stitching accuracy, fold precision and cutting alignment.
• Conduct visual and manual quality checks to ensure products meet standards.
• Perform routine cleaning and follow the preventive maintenance schedule.
• Identify and escalate mechanical issues or misfeeds to the foreman or maintenance team.
