About the role
The United Arab Emirates University is inviting applications for a faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in History, with a research and teaching focus on the Contemporary History of the UAE or the Arabian Gulf. The university expects candidates to show a strong commitment to teaching excellence, high-impact research outputs and willingness to take part in university service.
Required profile
- PhD in History (minimum qualification)
- Specialisation in the History of the UAE or the Arabian Gulf (preferred)
- English is the language of instruction and communication
Candidates must submit a cover letter, a detailed resume, a brief description of their research activities, their teaching philosophy and the courses they have taught. Applications are screened until the position is filled; the closing date is 31 December 2026.
