Assistant Resident Engineer – Electrical

About the role

WSP Middle East is looking for an Assistant Resident Engineer Electrical to support the delivery of electrical engineering projects within the ADDC/AADC domain in the United Arab Emirates. The role involves ensuring projects meet specifications, schedule, budget, quality and safety requirements while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Define electrical engineering strategies and conduct feasibility studies for diverse project types.
• Develop technical solutions to complex problems, applying creativity and engineering principles.
• Review and verify project documentation in line with quality‑assurance procedures.
• Lead the project supervision team and act as line manager for the electrical power network team.
• Embed health and safety practices throughout all work activities.
• Coordinate resources, including engagement with Complimentary Resource Centers, to optimise project delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field (master’s degree a plus).
• Proven experience as a Resident Engineer Electrical on large infrastructure or construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of local and international construction codes and regulations.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
