Assistant Vice President, Islamic Coverage (Investment & Corporate Banking)

About the role

First Abu Dhabi Bank is hiring an Assistant Vice President for Islamic Coverage within its Investment and Corporate Banking business. The role drives new client acquisition and onboarding in Islamic banking, identifies growth opportunities, builds and manages client relationships, and originates and executes Shariah-compliant financing solutions. It is open to Emirati nationals.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and engage prospective clients for Islamic banking products and services, and develop strategies to onboard new corporate and investment banking clients
• Analyse market trends and opportunities to support growth in the Islamic finance sector
• Build relationships with prospective clients, lead client meetings and presentations, and act as the main point of contact during onboarding
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to structure and deliver transactions such as Murabaha, Ijarah and Sukuk, ensuring compliance with Shariah requirements and regulatory standards
• Oversee transactions from origination to completion and advise clients on Islamic finance structures
• Monitor client relationship and transaction performance and report on business development and transaction results

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration or a related field
• At least 3 years of experience in banking or financial services, including client acquisition and transaction execution
• Demonstrated success in developing client relationships and generating business growth
