Assistant/Associate Professor – Finance & FinTech

About the role

The College of Business at Abu Dhabi University is seeking to appoint a full‑time faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor in Finance and FinTech. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate programs, conducting high‑quality research and scholarly activities, and contributing to administrative and service responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in finance, financial technology and related disciplines.
• Develop and sustain a productive research agenda leading to publications in high‑quality, peer‑reviewed journals.
• Supervise student projects, internships and theses.
• Contribute to curriculum development and continuous program enhancement, ensuring alignment with accreditation standards, industry practices and digital tools.
• Participate actively in departmental, college and university committees and academic initiatives.
• Engage in continuous professional development through training programs, workshops and conferences.
• Foster industry collaboration and support university outreach, innovation and impact initiatives.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in finance, financial technology or a closely related field from an internationally recognised university, preferably AACSB/EQUIS accredited or top‑200 global ranking.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching and a strong commitment to high‑quality research.
• Proven record of curriculum development and innovative teaching practices.
• Established portfolio of scholarly research with publications in reputable peer‑reviewed journals.
• Industry practice, consultancy or professional service experience is highly desirable.
• Professional certifications such as CFA, FRM, CFtP or FDB.
• Industry experience in auditing or financial reporting.
• At least two years of teaching experience in accredited higher‑education institutions.
• Ability to integrate industry insights and emerging trends into curriculum design and instruction.
• Capacity to contribute to departmental service, program development and institutional initiatives.
• Professional proficiency in English (oral and written); Arabic preferred.
