Associate – Category Sourcing Business Services

About the role

The Associate will support the Category Sourcing function within Global Sourcing and Supply Chain, helping to drive cost savings, manage RFx processes and ensure compliance with procurement policies.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development of the MTN Category Sourcing framework in collaboration with CoE and POD Global Leads.
• Collaborate with the Demand Planning team to contribute to forecasting and demand plans for the assigned category.
• Conduct market research on supply market structure, pricing, and emerging opportunities.
• Manage end‑to‑end preparation and execution of RFx events, including documentation, supplier scoring and compliance checks.
• Assist in negotiations and supplier selection to achieve optimal contracts within defined targets.
• Challenge supplier pricing where appropriate to ensure effective cost management.
• Prepare Statements of Work and Business Requirements in coordination with strategic category leads and business stakeholders.
• Liaise with supplier performance and contract management teams to transition RFx outcomes into contracts.
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand‑ups and sprint reviews to align sourcing activities with broader SCM, finance and EAM initiatives.

Required profile

• Experience in category sourcing, procurement or supply chain functions.
• Familiarity with RFx processes, supplier evaluation and contract negotiation.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams such as demand planning, finance and operations.
• Strong analytical mindset to assess market dynamics and cost structures.
• Good organizational skills to manage multiple sourcing projects and meet defined timelines.
