Associate Director – Wealth & Asset Management Consulting (ERS)

About the role

The Associate Director will build and lead a high‑performing Risk & Regulatory Affairs consulting capability for the wealth and asset management sector across the Middle East. Reporting to the Managing Director/Partner, the role involves advising C‑suite and board‑level clients, originating engagements and shaping the practice’s growth.

Key responsibilities

• Drive origination and pipeline development for private wealth, institutional asset management, family offices and sovereign wealth funds, leveraging networks across the GCC and MENA.
• Lead large‑scale regulatory transformation, risk‑framework implementation and compliance projects for asset managers, private banks and wealth platforms.
• Advise boards and executive committees on regulatory expectations, emerging risks and governance best practices.
• Recruit, mentor and develop consulting talent, fostering an inclusive high‑performance team culture.
• Represent the firm at industry events, publish thought‑leadership on regional WAM trends and manage strategic alliances such as BlackRock Aladdin and State Street Alpha.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in risk, regulatory affairs, compliance or enterprise risk management within financial services.
• Proven consulting background in a Big 4, global consultancy or specialist risk advisory practice serving wealth or asset management clients.
• Deep knowledge of enterprise risk management, regulatory compliance, governance frameworks, operational and conduct risk, and regulatory change management in the GCC.
• Experience interacting with regional regulators (ADGM, DIFC, SCA, CMA, QCB, etc.) and leading large‑scale risk transformation programmes.
• Fluent English; Arabic highly desirable.
