Associate Electrical Engineer (UAE National)

About the role

A leading provider of airport logistics solutions is looking for an Associate Electrical Engineer (UAE National) in Dubai. The role introduces young Emirati graduates to automation technology in an airport logistics environment, with hands-on work alongside senior engineers and structured, technically focused training.

Key responsibilities

• Support senior engineers in developing electrical designs, layout drawings, wiring diagrams and documentation for Baggage Handling Systems.
• Assist in preparing material, technical and design submittals across concept, detailed and final design stages.
• Take part in site activities such as equipment installation support, electrical inspections, testing and commissioning.
• Review project specifications and design requirements for compliance with customer and regulatory standards.
• Prepare and update as-built drawings, cable schedules, panel layouts and electrical documentation.
• Support troubleshooting of motors, VFDs, sensors, field devices, power distribution panels and safety systems.
• Work with the Controls/PLC team on system integration, communication interfaces and automation sequences.
• Help prepare technical responses and engineering documentation based on consultant or client feedback.
• Carry out basic calculations such as load analysis, voltage drop, cable sizing and protection coordination under supervision.
• Follow HSSE procedures and quality standards, and contribute to standard templates, design checklists and technical best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field; fresh graduates are welcome, no prior experience required.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems, circuits and components.
• Willingness to learn and develop technical skills.
• Good communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work shifts in an airport environment.
