Associate / Full Professor, Family Medicine

About the role

The Department of Family Medicine at the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, UAE University, is inviting applications for a full-time faculty position at Associate or Full Professor level. The successful candidate will teach undergraduates, particularly in the Family Medicine clerkship, clinical skills training and medical student assessment, while engaging in clinical and laboratory-based research and taking part in educational and administrative work within the college.

Key responsibilities

• Undergraduate teaching, especially in the Family Medicine clerkship, clinical skills training and medical student assessment
• Clinical duties at consultant level at affiliated AHS SEHA outpatient clinics
• Research in collaboration with CMHS faculty and clinical colleagues in affiliated hospitals; international research collaborations are encouraged
• Active participation in educational and administrative functions, including committee service

Required profile

• MD or MBBS degree
• Completed advanced postgraduate training in Family Medicine
• Prior undergraduate and postgraduate teaching experience
• Certification or fellowship (or equivalent) from North America, Australasia or Europe
• Strong scholarly record with publications in internationally recognized journals
• Training in medical education and research

Required skills

• Familiarity with USMLE, Canadian qualifying examinations and accreditation of graduate medical programs
• Strong track record in curriculum design, course oversight and student supervision
• Expertise in Family Medicine research
