Associate - Insolvency & Dispute Resolution

About the role

A leading international law firm is looking for an experienced Associate in Insolvency & Dispute Resolution to join its Dubai office, focusing on complex disputes and insolvency matters across the Middle East. The role suits a technically strong and commercially minded lawyer working on sophisticated, high-value, cross-border matters involving financial institutions, corporations, investment funds and other institutional clients.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on complex commercial litigation, corporate and shareholder disputes, and financial services-related matters.
• Handle contentious insolvency, restructuring, liquidations, receiverships and debt recovery matters.
• Support clients on asset recovery, enforcement proceedings and regulatory investigations.
• Manage complex legal matters while maintaining strong client relationships.
• Contribute to business development initiatives and the growth of the practice across the Middle East.

Required profile

• 5-7 years' post-qualification experience (PQE) gained within an international law firm.
• England & Wales qualification is essential, including qualification through the SQE route.
• Strong experience in commercial dispute resolution, insolvency and/or restructuring.
• Exposure to complex, cross-border disputes involving corporate and financial services clients.
• Previous offshore jurisdiction experience is advantageous but not essential.
