Associate Internal Audit (IT Background)

About the role

Al Etihad Payments is seeking an Associate Internal Audit professional with an IT background to support its internal audit function. The role involves planning, executing, and following up on audit engagements that cover general controls, application controls, cybersecurity, data privacy, and IT infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute audits of IT systems, applications, and infrastructure.
• Review the effectiveness of internal controls and recommend improvements.
• Assess risk management processes and business continuity plans.
• Evaluate project governance for IT‑related initiatives.
• Test controls over ERP, databases, and network security.
• Identify control weaknesses, security vulnerabilities, and process inefficiencies.
• Prepare detailed audit reports with actionable recommendations.
• Communicate findings to stakeholders and monitor remediation.
• Collaborate with external auditors and IT/security teams.
• Support internal audit service providers and monitor SLA performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Information Systems or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in IT audit or related areas.
• CISA certification is an advantage.
