Associate Project Engineer – Automation (Abu Dhabi)

About the role

As an Associate Project Engineer at ABB in Abu Dhabi, you will support engineering activities across projects of varying size and complexity. Working under the supervision of senior engineers, you will contribute to the design, analysis, and implementation of automation solutions while ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and cybersecurity standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform survey work, standard computations, analysis, and basic design tasks.
• Prepare project documentation within your scope of deliverables.
• Assist customers on technical issues and liaise with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Support communication for assignments and meetings, and participate in engineering workshops.
• Coordinate with Commissioning/Service functions to ensure proper installation and commissioning of designs.
• Update engineering deliverables after installation and commissioning, when applicable.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering (any discipline).
• Basic understanding of automation systems.
• Fluent in English and Arabic, both written and spoken.
• 0‑2 years of related experience; a strong team player with problem‑solving attitude.
