Associate Research Scientist, Integrated Photonics

About the role

New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) is looking for a fully funded Associate Research Scientist in the Division of Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering. The position focuses on integrated photonics and optoelectronic device development, with research on silicon photonics and optoelectronic devices applied to optical communications, sensing and photonic computing. The candidate joins a multidisciplinary team and has access to state-of-the-art facilities for photonic device design, fabrication and characterization.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in science or engineering.
• At least 3 years of experience in the relevant field.
• Experience in silicon photonics is required.
• Expertise in plasmonics, nanophotonics and 2D materials is a plus.
