Associate Vice President – Risk Analytics (UAE National)

About the role

The Associate Vice President – Risk Analytics will lead the end‑to‑end model lifecycle across development, validation, implementation and monitoring, ensuring compliance with CBUAE standards and other regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee model development, validation, implementation and ongoing monitoring, maintaining complete documentation.
• Maintain governance controls, obtain required approvals, and manage the bank’s model inventory.
• Assess, monitor and report model risk in line with the bank’s risk appetite and provide senior management reporting.
• Lead Model Oversight Committee meetings, set agendas, coordinate stakeholders and document decisions.
• Monitor regulatory developments to enhance model governance policies and frameworks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Risk Management, Statistics, Data Science or related field.
• 7–10 years of experience in model governance, model risk management, regulatory risk or risk governance.
• Strong understanding of model lifecycle management, governance frameworks and CBUAE MMSG expectations.
• Experience working with auditors, regulators and governance committees.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Power BI.
• Hands‑on experience with Databricks.
