AVP, Fraud Risk Management – Personal, Business & Private Banking

About the role

The Assistant Vice President will lead fraud risk management across Personal Banking, Business Banking and Private Banking, acting as the First Line of Defence. The role embeds the Group Fraud Risk Framework, ensuring risks are identified, assessed, mitigated, monitored and reported while maintaining accountability for controls and loss data.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and embed the Fraud Risk Management Framework, policies and control standards across all banking segments.
• Own fraud risk identification, assessment, control design, testing, monitoring and remediation across products, channels and customer journeys.
• Monitor fraud risk indicators, analyse emerging threats and trends, and apply corrective actions.
• Partner with Fraud Operations and Risk teams to shape detection rules, scenarios, models and impact assessments.
• Ensure timely reporting, recording and analysis of fraud incidents, losses, recoveries and risk events.
• Support investigations by gathering evidence, coordinating stakeholders and driving remediation of control gaps.
• Conduct fraud risk assessments for new products, services, channels, campaigns and transformation initiatives.
• Drive fraud awareness, training, governance reporting and stakeholder engagement to foster a proactive risk culture.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Law, Risk Management or a related field; CFE certification preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in fraud risk management within banking or financial services, with strong understanding of retail, business and private banking products.
• Experience in First‑Line or Second‑Line fraud risk functions and proven stakeholder‑management skills.
• Demonstrated expertise in fraud controls, risk assessments, analytics and remediation.
