AVP & Lead, Credit Control

About the role

The AVP & Lead, Credit Control is responsible for managing credit limits, overseeing day‑to‑day transactions, and ensuring compliance with FAB policies, regulatory requirements and internal procedures. The role leads a team to encode, activate and control credit facilities while maintaining high service standards for internal customers.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily credit limit encoding, activation, and related releases such as Facility Offer Letters and write‑off entries.
• Authorize internal memos, customer grade changes and corporate obligor details in line with local regulations.
• Monitor work submission channels, allocate tasks, and ensure timely completion of housekeeping activities.
• Maintain trackers, archive documents, and oversee monthly reviews of credit limits and interest rate applications.
• Develop SOPs, SLAs, process notes and conduct risk assessments, including RCSA and Business Continuity planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or related discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant banking experience with progressive managerial responsibility in credit facilities.
• Strong knowledge of UAE Central Bank regulations and corporate credit guidelines.
