AVP SEO – Middle East & North Africa

About the role

WPP Media is seeking an Assistant Vice President to lead its SEO practice across the Middle East and North Africa. This senior leadership position is responsible for driving regional SEO strategy, revenue growth and integration with the wider media and data services.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the regional SEO vision, operating plan, revenue and profitability targets.
• Build and scale the SEO organization, establishing governance, processes and quality standards.
• Develop and evolve the SEO product portfolio, including technical SEO, content strategy, digital PR, enterprise and commerce SEO, measurement and AI‑driven search experiences.
• Lead talent acquisition, development and culture, creating clear career pathways and performance standards.
• Drive new‑business development, pitch opportunities and cross‑practice collaboration to grow integrated revenue.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in SEO or digital marketing, preferably in an agency, consultancy or large in‑house environment.
• Proven track record of leading a sizable SEO team or regional practice and delivering commercial results.
• Strong understanding of modern SEO, generative AI, answer engines and automation.
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior clients and internal stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and executive presence.
