AVP, Trade International Operations

About the role

The AVP, Trade International Operations will supervise and authorize trade finance transactions across multiple regions while ensuring compliance with internal procedures and regulatory standards. The role also focuses on developing efficient processes and maintaining high service quality for clients.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and supervise a team to ensure efficient, policy‑compliant operations.
• Monitor financial performance against budgets and report variances.
• Implement and improve policies, systems, and procedures for trade finance.
• Process, verify, and authorize transactions according to the approval matrix.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines, sanctions, AML and central bank policies.
• Develop tools and processes to mitigate operational risks.
• Prepare reports, sectional statements and support audit and risk assessments.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and cost‑efficiency measures.

Required profile

• Graduate degree in Commerce, Financial Services, Banking & Finance or related field.
• CDCS or equivalent certification preferred.
• 8‑10 years of trade finance experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong customer service and relationship management skills.
• Ability to work independently under tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Trade finance operations and transaction authorisation.
• Knowledge of ICC Publications and ICC Banking Commission opinions.
• Regulatory compliance, AML and sanctions screening.
• Risk management and internal control procedures.
• CDCS certification (or equivalent).
