AVP Compliance – Regulatory Affairs (Emiratized)

About the role

The AVP – Regulatory Affairs (UAE) is responsible for managing the bank’s interaction with regulators, overseeing examinations, thematic reviews and on‑site inspections, and ensuring timely, accurate responses to regulatory requests.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end management of regulatory examinations and thematic reviews, coordinating documentation collection and maintaining logs.
• Coordinate and manage on‑site inspections, act as primary regulator contact, and track follow‑up actions.
• Handle Requests for Information (RFIs) and maintain a single point of contact process.
• Receive, track and disseminate regulatory circulars and notices, maintaining a central repository.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and regulators, providing regular status updates to the Head of Regulatory Affairs.
• Identify and implement automation, streamlining and simplification opportunities for regulatory processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, Business or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in regulatory compliance within a financial institution.
• Strong knowledge of banking regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements.
• Excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.

• Proficiency in maintaining comprehensive regulatory documentation, logs and trackers.
• Experience driving process automation and simplification initiatives.
