AVP, Compliance - Regulatory Affairs (Emiratized)

About the role

The AVP – Regulatory Affairs (UAE) is responsible for managing the bank’s interaction with regulators, overseeing examinations, thematic reviews, and on‑site inspections. The role ensures timely, accurate responses and drives automation to improve regulatory processes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end management of regulatory examinations and thematic reviews, coordinating documentation and providing status updates.
• Coordinate on‑site inspections, act as primary regulator contact, and track follow‑up actions.
• Manage Requests for Information (RFIs) and maintain a single point of contact process.
• Receive, track, and disseminate regulatory circulars and notices, maintaining a central repository.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and act as liaison with regulators.
• Provide regular reporting, maintain comprehensive records, and contribute to monthly regulatory packs.
• Identify and implement automation, streamlining, and simplification opportunities for regulatory processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, Business or related field.
• 6+ years of regulatory compliance experience, preferably in banking.
• Strong knowledge of banking regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements.
• Excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast‑paced team environment.
