B2 Aircraft Engineer – Base Maintenance

About the role

Etihad Airways is seeking experienced B2 Aircraft Engineers with base maintenance expertise to support its expanding fleet. You will perform and certify maintenance activities, ensuring safety, compliance and technical excellence across a diverse aircraft portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Certify your own work and that of others, confirming tasks meet approved data and authorization limits.
• Prepare all materials, tools, parts and documentation at the start of each shift.
• Maintain a clean, hazard‑free environment to prevent Foreign Object Damage (FOD).
• Guide and assist Aircraft Technicians, promoting safe and effective practices.
• Conduct inspections of ground support equipment and company vehicles, completing required checklists.
• Follow Etihad’s Safety & Quality Management Manual and promote a culture of safety.

Required profile

• High school diploma or university degree plus a valid Aircraft Maintenance License (GCAA/EASA Part‑66/ICAO convertible to GCAA).
• 7–10 years of aircraft maintenance experience, with at least 5 years of certifying experience in a Base/Light Maintenance environment.
• 2–3 years of certifying experience on at least two Etihad type ratings (e.g., Airbus A320/330 NEO, Boeing 777/787).
• Excellent communication skills, teamwork mindset and a strong commitment to safety and quality.
