B2 Certifying Engineer – Line Maintenance

About the role

The successful candidate will carry out and supervise line‑maintenance tasks on Air Arabia and third‑party aircraft under a CAR 66 B2 licence, with a focus on avionics and electrical systems. The role ensures aircraft serviceability, operational reliability and full compliance with airline procedures and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Review assigned task cards with the Maintenance Manager to understand work scope, priorities and documentation requirements.
• Prepare and execute scheduled aircraft maintenance, securing required parts, tools and ground support equipment.
• Perform aircraft tests and inspections, accurately identifying and recording defects or damage.
• Troubleshoot and rectify defects in accordance with Aircraft Maintenance Manuals and Engineering instructions.
• Sign off maintenance tasks within the scope of the B2 authorisation, confirming completion of all required documentation.
• Coordinate communications with engineers and technicians to ensure seamless hand‑over of work.
• Manage safety by applying mandatory precautions, using proper GSE and protective equipment, and mitigating human‑factor risks.

Required profile

• Valid CAR 66 B2 licence authorisation.
• Proven experience in line‑maintenance of commercial aircraft, preferably in an airline environment.
• Strong knowledge of avionics and electrical systems.
• Familiarity with aircraft maintenance manuals, task cards and certification procedures.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
