About the role

Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort is seeking a motivated Barista to deliver high‑quality beverage service while upholding the brand’s standards of hospitality and guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve quality beverages, whole bean coffee and food products in line with recipe and presentation standards.
• Follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products.
• Maintain a calm demeanor during high‑volume periods and set a positive example for the shift team.
• Assist with training new associates, providing coaching and positive reinforcement.
• Ensure prompt, courteous delivery of all beverage orders and maintain cleanliness of bar areas.
• Open and close shifts according to the manager’s checklist and enforce Anantara Bar Service Standards.
• Execute revenue and check control procedures during the shift.
• Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment for associates and guests.
• Gather and implement tools for running shifts, such as schedules, floor plans and reservations.
• Resolve daily operational issues, including call‑outs and last‑minute bookings.
• Assist on the floor throughout the meal period to ensure adequate coverage.
• Maintain uniform standards and manage repair/maintenance of coffee machines and bar equipment.
• Handle associate relations, including scheduling and time adjustments.
• Encourage problem‑solving and empowerment through effective training.
• Communicate effectively with associates to build trust and respect.
