Barista

About the role

The 25hours Hotel One Central in Dubai is looking for a barista. The hotel brings Bedouin traditions into a contemporary setting, with a view of the Museum of the Future near the Dubai International Financial Center. The barista works varied shifts throughout the week and on weekends, taking part in all scheduled training.

Key responsibilities

• Attend work as scheduled, including varied shifts and weekends, and take part in all scheduled training.
• Prepare and serve coffee, tea and other beverages according to the hotel's recipes, presentation standards and guest preferences.
• Operate and maintain coffee machines, grinders and other beverage equipment properly and safely.
• Assist with daily opening, setup and closing of the bar or coffee station.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in front of and behind the bar, and clean, stock and organise glassware, cups and utensils.
• Replenish coffee beans, milk, syrups, condiments, fruits, juices and soft drinks, and report shortages, wastage or equipment issues to the supervisor.
• Keep back-of-house areas, storage and beverage stations clean and organised.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, health and safety procedures, cleaning checklists and hotel SOPs, and complete side duties and support other team members.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a barista or in a similar F&B role.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Good command of English.

Required skills

• Knowledge of coffee preparation, beverage service and basic barista equipment.
• Basic knowledge of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards.
