Billing Data Analyst

About the role

The Billing Data Analyst is based in the United Arab Emirates and plays a key role in keeping billing data accurate and reliable across the organization. The role covers analysing large datasets, maintaining billing systems and ledgers, and providing insights that support billing operations and financial reporting. It suits someone with a background in data analytics, billing processes and general accounting.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and validate billing data to ensure completeness and accuracy
• Reconcile billing discrepancies and ledger balances regularly
• Maintain and optimise billing systems and CRM integrations
• Build and automate billing reports and dashboards in Excel and Power BI
• Work with finance, sales and operations teams to resolve billing issues
• Track key billing metrics and share insights with stakeholders
• Support month-end and year-end closing for billing and revenue
• Document billing processes and maintain procedural controls

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics or a related field
• 2-4 years of experience in data analytics, billing analysis or general accounting
• Strong understanding of ledger maintenance and general accounting principles
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills, with good communication and teamwork

Required skills

• Advanced Excel, including pivot tables, formulas and macros
• Dashboard and report building in Power BI
• Proficiency in billing systems and CRM platforms
• Preferred: Salesforce or other CRM systems, SQL, ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle, UAE VAT knowledge, and certifications such as CMA or Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate
