Business Analyst - Cargo Commercial Insights

About the role

Emirates SkyCargo, a world leader in air cargo serving over 140 destinations across six continents, is hiring a Business Analyst in Dubai. You will provide commercial analysis, market intelligence and performance insights that support strategic and tactical decisions, customer engagement and improvements in revenue, tonnage, customer retention, market share and digital adoption.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse business performance data to identify trends, opportunities, risks and variances.
• Monitor and evaluate KPIs and business outcomes, highlight gaps, find root causes and track improvement actions.
• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards and analytical tools for stakeholders.
• Conduct market, customer, competitor and business analysis to spot emerging trends and opportunities.
• Support business planning, reviews, projects and strategic initiatives with data-backed recommendations.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements, validate findings and obtain market intelligence.
• Manage relevant financial and administrative processes, including validation, stakeholder communication, issue resolution and cost mitigation.

Required profile

• Degree or honours (12+3 or equivalent) in Logistics, Cargo, Air Cargo or a related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in Logistics, Cargo or Air Cargo.
• Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Data Analytics, Marketing, Finance or a related discipline.
• Experience in commercial analysis, business performance reporting, market research or similar analytical roles; experience in aviation, logistics, cargo or multinational commercial environments preferred.
• Knowledge of commercial performance metrics, market analysis techniques, reporting methodologies and business planning processes.
• Understanding of aviation cargo markets, customer segmentation and competitive dynamics preferred.
• Willingness to travel regularly across Europe and other assigned markets.

Required skills

• Mandatory: knowledge of CRM principles, customer segmentation and account performance management.
• Advanced data analysis and reporting; strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, CRM tools and relevant commercial or reporting systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication, stakeholder management and presentation skills.
• Data visualisation and dashboard development (e.g. Power BI) preferred.
